Sunday Brunch @1.Rochester

This happened 2 weekends ago. I've been so caught up with designing wallpaper lately that I totally forgotten about my blog.

The food was pretty good, but it was kind of pricey for a brunch. If not for the discount voucher, this simple breakfast - 2 mains, 1 kid size pasta, 2 cups of cafe latte and 1 cup of cuppucino, the damage would easily be about S$100.

I brought along my SLR camera and took some photos of what we had. You are in for some pinkystreet treats if you're as crazy about them as I do. I brought Maki and Yoshiko out, and Regan (my 6-year old niece) managed to take some great photos of them using my SLR camera.

A Crabby Feast at Master Crab

Sis had this strong craving for crabs, therefore we ended up at a seafood restaurant which is only 3 minutes drive from where I live.

I had no idea that there is a crab specialty restaurant near my neighbourhood even though I have lived here for 8 years. They have Black Pepper Crab, Honey Crab, Crab Noodle Soup, Butter Crab, etc. Their specialty dish is Salted Egg Crab.

Luckily sis called to make advance reservation. When we arrived, the place was almost full house. We ordered a plate of Xing Zhou Fried Bee Hoon, Crispy Prawn Roll, Black Pepper Crab and Salted Egg Crab. Regan felt the salted egg crab a bit hot for her, ended up both my sis and myself devoured almost 2 medium size crabs by ourselves zzz...

Asylum @ Clark Quay

As part of the Grand Prix event, which will be starting next weekend in Singapore, the Singapore River is having "The Singapore River Festival 2008, 19 - 28 September".

Spanning a range of jazz notations and set amid the backdrop of the stunning skyline of Clark Quay, Urban Jazz Crossover promises soulful orchestration of artists, and features one of Japan's most talented jazz connoisseurs, quasimode.

We ended up having dinner at Asylum, due to the fact that from where we were sitting, we could see the performance clearly. The food was not fantastic, but the ambience and environment somehow made up for it.
